Luc Belaire Luxe Fantôme is a French sparkling wine from Burgundy, based on the Chardonnay grape and distinguished by its glowing electroluminescent labelling. The Fantôme version of each Belaire cuvée features a glowing, electroluminescent label activated at the push of a button. This variant was created with the hospitality sector in mind, where the bottle's light effect is particularly visible.
The brand is created by a family house founded in 1898. The fifth and sixth generations of winemakers, a father-and-son team, continue the traditions begun by their ancestors, who opened the house in 1898, first in the town of Montagny-les-Beaune in the heart of Burgundy, and a few years later in Salon de Provence. The entire Belaire range is created in Burgundy, one of France's historically most important wine regions.
Belaire Luxe is an authentic French Blanc de Blancs made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes selected for their rich and delicate character. The wine is produced in Burgundy from 100% Chardonnay grapes, blended with a special Chardonnay dosage from Chablis and aged for six months in Burgundian oak barrels. This combination of a fruity core with oaky maturity defines the style of this cuvée.
In aroma and taste the wine leads with fruit and baking notes. It unfolds aromas of grapefruit, peach, apricot, honeysuckle and hints of brioche, is round and crisp, with balanced complexity. The structure remains full, yet retains freshness on the finish.
The wine has 12.5% alcohol and comes in a 0.75 l bottle. It works as an aperitif or digestif, before or after a meal, as well as on its own; it pairs with desserts, cheeses and dishes ranging from seafood to grilled meats.
