Pawlina Vodka Karafka Limited Empatia is a Polish clear vodka from a limited series of decanters, bottled at 40% ABV in a 0.7 litre format. It is produced by Wielkopolska Wytwórnia Wódek Polanin, a Polish producer based in Środa Wielkopolska. The edition dates from 2022 and forms part of the collection of decanters created for Mirosław Pawlina, founder of the M&P distribution network.
The spirit is based on selected grain combined with crystal-clear water and a meticulously conducted production process, in particular distillation in a modern and sterile facility. Within this same decanter series the producer uses grain spirit; the decanter editions are distilled from wheat spirit, although the Pure Rye Vodka designation on the bottle suggests rye spirit.
Empatia belongs to the clear vodkas, in which the grain core takes centre stage without any flavour additions. The producer does not publish a detailed tasting note for this variant, so the aromatic profile remains in keeping with the character of the series – a clear vodka with a grain base, intended to be served chilled and neat.
The series comprises successive anniversary editions of Pawlina vodka, bottled in elegant decanters, prepared in small batches with hand-controlled filling. Further variants in this collection, such as Entuzjazm, Szacunek and Harmonia, are created according to the same naming convention referring to values and human attitudes.
