Splendor Orkisz Pure Vodka is a Polish pure vodka made from spelt spirit, produced by Grupa AWW in small batches. The spirit is made from spelt – the world's oldest cultivated cereal, rich in protein and minerals, grown on specialised farms.
The spirit is backed by the producer's extensive resources. Splendor Orkisz is made by Grupa AWW – a Polish producer of vodkas, liqueurs and spirits, which has its own cereal crops and components for alcohol production, processing plants, laboratories, distilleries and transport. Its exceptional quality and taste are the result of combining top-quality spirit subjected to multiple filtration with spring water. Following the original six-times-distilled version, a new, nine-times-distilled version was introduced in 2020. Splendor Orkisz undergoes carbon-platinum filtration.
On the palate the vodka remains dry and grainy. The nose reveals a neutral, slightly earthy aroma, while the palate is dominated by sweet-spicy, creamy and caramel notes. A more detailed description of the new, nine-times-distilled version points to a delicate, sweet aroma with milky-fermentation notes and earthiness, a sweet and fruity taste with ripe apples, apricots and flinty character, and a finish offering more apricots, apples and pears, as well as almond and walnut.
The spirit belongs to the upper shelf of the producer's range. Splendor Orkisz bears the Laurel – a mark reserved for products from the AWW Prestige line. The product won a gold medal at the Warsaw Spirits Competition in 2020, 2021 and 2023. The 0.5-litre bottle with an ABV of 40% is supplied in a gift box.
