An exquisite wine made from a grape variety of the same name, developed in the 1930s by Professor Manzoni at the prestigious School of Enology in Conegliano. This exceptional variety is the result of crossing two noble grapes: Rhein Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The wine is produced in the Piave valley, where the vines grow on alluvial soils, a blend of white clay and minerals from the Dolomites. The wine is made through gentle pressing of whole grapes, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature in concrete tanks. Ageing takes place over several months on the fine lees in steel vats. The lees are frequently stirred to increase the density and smoothness of the wine. A crisp wine of mineral character with aromas of white flowers, citrus and exotic fruits. Ideal with tuna tartare and carpaccio, seafood pasta, grilled fish and fried fish.
