Zanatta

Zanatta is an Italian winery founded in 2003, combining the traditions of two distinct wine regions: Sardinia and Euganean Venice. In Sardinia, it cultivates 100 hectares of vineyards near Olbia, and from Euganean Venice it sources grapes for the production of white wines and prosecco. The History of Zanatta – the passion of an oenologist from Treviso on Sardinian soil In 1975, Bruno Zanatta, a young oenologist from Treviso, began his winemaking career in northern Sardinia, near Olbia. For nearly 30 years, he acquired knowledge about the terrain and soils to better understand the specificity of this place. In 2003, together with his children, he established his own estate, and in 2008 the construction of the winery with cellars was completed. The company was created from the merger of two vineyards – Sardinian and Venetian – demonstrating that the marriage of two seemingly distant wine regions can result in winemaking at the highest level. Zanatta Vineyards – Sardinia and Euganean Venice Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, is known for its rocky terrain shaped by wind, rain and sea. Zanatta's vineyards comprise 100 hectares located in the north of the island, among picturesque beaches in the Olbia area. The most important varieties cultivated here include cannonau (grenache), carignano, monica and vermentino. Zanatta's Sardinian wines reflect the character of the island – they are full of grace and character. From Euganean Venice come wines made from the region's most important white varieties: moscato, pinot grigio and glera, from which prosecco is made.
