Dragon & Jade Baijiu is a traditional baijiu distilled, aged and bottled in China. It represents the most widely consumed spirit in the world, with production and consumption exceeding the combined global consumption of vodka and whisky. This spirit is a precious treasure of Chinese culture, combining tradition and excellence, offering exceptional quality and a refined taste. Dragon & Jade is produced at the Goalong distillery. It is located in the very heart of China, where for generations the ancient art of baijiu production has been cultivated using traditional methods and artisanal craftsmanship. Dragon & Jade draws inspiration from ancient Chinese mythology, in which the dragon symbolises courage and good fortune, while jade stands for purity, happiness and prosperity. The beautiful stoneware bottle contains Qingxiang Baijiu, one of the oldest and most traditional types of baijiu produced in China. Made from meticulously selected grains such as rice, corn, wheat, sorghum and glutinous rice, baijiu undergoes solid-state or semi-solid-state fermentation and distillation to create a spirit with unique characteristics. Its aromatic profile offers a perfect combination of clean aromas together with sweetness, smoothness and freshness on the palate. Traditionally, baijiu has a high alcohol content, between 50% and 65%, whereas Dragon & Jade Baijiu has been bottled at 40% ABV to provide a more approachable taste experience. It can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails. Baijiu literally means "white spirit", a reference to its clear and transparent colour. It is a strong alcoholic beverage produced in China. Traditionally, it is made by distilling fermented grain, followed by ageing in clay jars and blending prior to bottling. Baijiu is most often produced from sorghum, rice, wheat or corn. A very important element of the production process is the dried starter culture "Qū", which is essential to initiate the fermentation process and has a major influence on the aroma and flavour profile of the final product.
