This exceptional Barolo aged for 30 months in oak barrels, then spent a further 6-8 months in concrete vats. The colour is an intense red with ruby reflections that take on a slightly brownish hue with age. It has a distinct, intense bouquet with notes of vanilla, spices, roses and forest floor. On the palate it is dry, yet soft, full, velvety, with a harmonious and lasting finish. Ideal for drinking now, but it should reach its peak in 2026-2028. Outstanding with rich, red meats, mature cheeses, and also as a contemplative wine. As part of an exceptional project, since last year this wine has also appeared in another, special label. Ten of the most important values and feelings have been identified, and they are presented through three art forms: the art of winemaking, the art of writing and the visual arts. Each year contemporary Italian writers analyse a value, creating a monograph and an analysis of the feeling chosen for the given year, which is then interpreted by renowned illustrators. In the current, second edition of the project, that is the wine from the 2019 vintage, the value analysed is Trust. The wine is packaged in cases of 6 bottles. In each case we will find 5 bottles with the traditional striped label and 1 bottle with a special label designed by the Italian artist Andrea Calisi. The label depicts a woman and her alter ego connected by a thin thread. Included in the case is also a book by the Italian author Silvia Avallone.
