Benrinnes 15 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, the only official release from the Benrinnes distillery, bottled as part of Diageo's Flora & Fauna series. The "Flora & Fauna" 15-year-old expression debuted in 1991 and remains the only regularly available official bottling from the distillery.

The distillery lies at the foot of Ben Rinnes mountain, on the south bank of the River Spey. Its hallmark was an unusual distillation regime: in 1974 Benrinnes switched to a partial triple distillation process, in which the feints from all the stills were redistilled in the low wines still, and the first portion was added to the spirit run; this practice was abandoned in 2007, when the distillery moved to a more conventional configuration of two wash stills and four spirit stills. This single malt is particularly interesting because it was distilled while Benrinnes still employed its unique partial triple distillation process across six stills working in sets of three.

The whisky matures in sherry casks and is bottled at 43%. In the glass it shows a bright, mahogany colour. The producer's notes point to a rich nose with an early impression of chocolate liqueurs, a light smokiness and a dense floral note, while the palate is intensely sweet, full and rum-like with a distinct punch in the mid-palate. The whisky is full-bodied, with a very smooth mouthfeel. Meaty and nutty notes recur throughout the profile – leather, fig and sherry accents appear, along with peppery oak.

The finish remains consistent with the rest. Towards the end the whisky dries out slightly, with a "catch" that could be taken for peat smoke; the finish is of medium length and leaves a gently sherried aftertaste. The producer recommends serving it in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a splash of water.
