Basque Moonshiners is a craft micro-distillery from the Basque Country in Spain, founded in 2014. The name refers to old home distilleries where Basque moonshiners produced their spirits. Production batches do not exceed 2000 bottles, each of which is hand-numbered by master distiller Juan Carlos Ortíz de Zárate. From Basque potato vodka to whisky. The distillery's first product was Basmoon vodka — five times distilled, made from Basque potatoes. Today, the company's range also includes whiskies and gins, produced with the same artisanal approach and in limited batches.
