Coppi

Coppi is one of the most valued wineries in Gioia del Colle – the Apulian cradle of the primitivo variety. The family-owned company has 100 hectares of its own vineyards between Bari and Salento and specializes in the elegant, fresh style of wines from this region. History of Coppi Winery The Coppi family's history in the wine industry began in 1979, when Antonio Coppi took over a historic vineyard operating since 1882 and transformed it into a modern cellar. Today, his son Doni continues his father's work, restoring prestige to wines from Apulia – a region that is sometimes underestimated by connoisseurs due to its mainstream image. Coppi Vineyards in Gioia del Colle – Primitivo in Elegant Style Gioia del Colle is a municipality in the province of Bari that is generating increasing interest among wine lovers. The hilly, stony soils and local microclimate give the local wines original elegance, freshness and balance – qualities that distinguish them from other Apulian wines. Coppi has 100 hectares of its own vineyards and another 100 hectares cultivated by contracted farmers under the supervision of the company's specialists. The star is primitivo in a very elegant style. Coppi Grape Varieties – Primitivo and Native Apulian Varieties In addition to primitivo, the company produces wines from other native varieties: negroamaro, aleatico, falanghina, malvasia bianca and malvasia nera. Passion and knowledge combined with living in harmony with nature are the foundation on which Coppi builds its philosophy.
